Voice consent is mandatory
Use your own voice or obtain documented, express permission from the speaker before uploading a sample or creating a cloned or synthetic voice. Permission must cover the purpose, audience, distribution channels, and any commercial use. Keep the record of consent. We may ask for it.
Never use synthetic audio to deceive
Do not impersonate a real person; fabricate an endorsement; mislead someone about the identity of a caller or speaker; interfere with elections or public processes; evade biometric or identity checks; or create fraud, scams, harassment, extortion, defamation, or non-consensual sexual content. Do not clone a child’s voice. Do not use a public figure’s voice without authorization merely because samples are publicly available.
Tell listeners when it matters
Clearly disclose that audio is AI-generated or uses a synthetic voice when a reasonable listener could otherwise mistake it for an authentic recording, when a platform or law requires disclosure, or when the content concerns news, public affairs, endorsements, education, health, finance, or other consequential topics.
Review before publishing
AI-generated scripts and audio can hallucinate facts, omit context, mispronounce names, or create unintended meaning. Check the source, claims, citations, speaker labels, tone, rights, and disclosures. You—not the model—make the final publishing decision.
Protected and sensitive material
Do not upload material you lack permission to use. Respect copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, and data-protection rights. Avoid highly sensitive personal data. Do not use the service for unlawful discrimination, dangerous instructions, professional impersonation, or content prohibited by our Terms.
Enforcement and reporting
We may block a render, remove content, limit voice features, request consent evidence, or suspend an account when necessary to prevent harm or comply with law or provider rules. Report suspected misuse to support@makethisapodcast.com.
